SWATCHOT

The Swatara Creek Trip that turned into Pinchot. :-)

5/11/03

For some nice park information, check out the official Pinchot website.

Terry Nesbit met us all at NewCumberland McD's to discuss weather, the trip, etc., and due to incoming storms and winds, it was decided that we had to scratch the Swatara trip. Bummer. Better safe than sorry but it turned out to be fairly decent. We were hardcore enough (and were geared up, got up early on Mother's Day!) that we decided to break out on our own and hit Pinchot State Park anyways. (Thus the title of the page, Swatchot... the Swatara-Pinchot trip. :-) )

Rach and I led the convoy of Teanna, Bob and Barb to Pinchot State Park where we saw honkers, an oriole and had a good lunch to boot. Barb had a problem keeping her skirt on (*bite lip*), Bob had trouble keeping it straight (*ouch again*) while Teanna tested the ebb and flow (of the stalls). Rachel kept a good pace and me... I was behaving behind the camera of course, holding everyone up. heh
